India's rich diversity, both in its physical and natural aspects, is widely known. India has had a great past with achievements in literature, the arts, medicine and mathematics. Indians were sea-faring and they spread their influence through their philosophy, religion and military conquest too. But like a cosmic phenomenon, decline is every civilisation is inevitable. Indian civilisation too declined. When a civilisation rises, people are driven by idealism; when people are possessed of greed, it declines and falls. Indians today are possessed of excessive, abominable, putrefying greed. The author tells it all in an honest, engaging manner. He holds a mirror unto ourselves.
